Svetlana Ryzhik I was born in Moscow and graduated from a special math-intensive high school. My graduate engineering degree is from the Moscow University of Steel and Alloys. I immigrated to the United States in 1995.
I have been working since 1999 as an assistant for the math department in a middle school in Westchester County. I tutor students and teach them math as a substitute teacher. I also co-coach our school's Math Counts team, which in the last seven years has placed 1st and 4th in regional competitions. When promoted to the state level, our team was #10.
Math is never as difficult as it seems, especially when it is explained well. |
